Summer Stories

My youngest daughter is a collegiate golfer and this past summer she played in a college tournament and she was  able to have a caddie! I was so excited when she asked me to come and caddie for her. She has had a very successful collegiate career and this was a special highlight for me, as her mom,  to be involved at this level of play. Of course, I had to get a picture of us to document the moment! The inspiration for this sketch came from the weekly sketch at Let's Get Sketchy at http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/. It was  a terrific sketch that I turned sideways to use and it came together very quickly!

Fun

As the photographer of the family, it can be a real challenge to get any pictures of myself and when I do,  I realize no one can take a photo like me! But on this particular occasion,  I not only got in a picture but it was actually a 'scrapbook-worthy' picture! It was nice to have a good pic of my husband and me taken by my youngest daughter! The inspiration for this LO comes from My Creative Sketches at
http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

Fabulous

My love for flowers and all the beauty they hold is probably evident as you look through my work! The LO I am posting today is of my peonies as they bloomed this past spring. They are stunningly beautiful and I wished they bloomed year round! I can't get enough of their fragrance either as I cut a few and place them in vases throughout my house! This LO is based on the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy at  http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/  and it came together so easily!

Here is my interpretation!

Morning Dew

I am making several posts today because I have been busy working on challenges but the weather has not been conducive to taking good photos until today! Even today is a cloudy and overcast but at least there was enough natural light to make it workable.
This LO was created using the Saturday Sketch from Kaisercraft at http://www.kaisercraft.com.au/blog/.

Friend

I enjoy all the challenges the different online scrapbook sites offer. My goal for the year was to participate in as many as possible just to keep the mojo going! Today's LO is for the challenge at Sketchabilities.

Here is my take on sketch # 103!

This LO features my youngest daughter just prior to the start of the first golf match of her collegiate Senior year. These past few years have just flown by! We have been so blessed to have been able to travel to all of her golf matches. This match was in Marshall, MI., so it was only about a 4 hour drive from our home.

So Happy Together...

The November challenge at My Mind's Eye at http://mymindseye.typepad.com/blog/challenges/  was quite simple this month...document your gratitude. I have so much to be grateful for...where do I begin! My LO features a picture of me and my husband. We celebrated 31 years of marriage this past June!!!  So grateful to be married to a wonderful man of God, a tremendous provider and a terrific father of four incredible daughters! We have entered our empty nesting years...as indicated by the title of my blog...and we enjoy traveling together to all parts of the US visiting our children!

Love Life

The LO I made today is inspired by the Saturday Sketch from Kaisercraft. The picture was taken at The Brookgreens Botanical Garden in Pawleys Island, SC, this past July. There was a gentle rain falling and I love that I was able to capture the raindrops on this beautiful water lily! I used the True Romance from Kaisercraft to showcase this picture.
