Golf Girls

This layout was made using the design from My Creative Sketches April Challenge at  http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/. I used the Serenade line from Basic Grey because I love the colors and thought it worked well with this picture that was taken at a golf course in Arizona in March. I scrap a lot of golf themed pages but very rarely use golf themed paper!

Have a great week scrapping! I am planning my own crop this week to celebrate National Scrapbook Day!

You Make Me Happy

I really wanted to title this layout, A Day in the Life of the Mom of a College Golfer, but the title would have taken up most of the page! How blessed I am to have been able to follow the Baldwin Wallace University Women's Golf Team as they have traveled from Ohio to such wonderful places as Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Arizona to play in golf tournaments. For this layout I used Fancy Pants Designs-Park Bench Collection and I created the layout based on the challenge from Flying Unicorn at http://flyingunicornllc.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to use at least 6 layers of paper and 2 different punches. My style tends to be clean and simple but I thought I did well at incorporating the critieria into this layout!

Loving Life

My youngest daughter plays college golf and in March had the opportunity to play in a golf tournament in Phoenix, Arizona, with her team. The weather was gorgeous and the golf was terrific! We had a fabulous week in the sun and I took so many beautiful pictures! I used the Park Bench Collection from Fancy Pants Designs and used the March Sketch from My Creative Sketches as the template for this layout.

Make Your Smile Contagious

I loved the title of this page! It really seemed to fit the picture. My daughter has a beautiful smile but it was masked as we traveled because we did not want to take the chance that she would get sick as we sought the medical attention she needed. As we boarded the plane, people looked at her like she was contagiuos!

I used Fancy Pants Designs-Park Bench collection for this layout. The colors in this collection are beautiful with the grays, yellows and blues.

Time Flies

Wow...what a difference a year makes! This time last year I was in the planning stages of starting a scrapbook kit online business but in the midst of it, my youngest daughter developed some health issues which derailed my plans. Being a firm believer that all things happen for a reason, I allowed that door to close...maybe for just a time or maybe forever! Time will tell! I am happy to say a year later, my daughter's health has been restored and my love for scrapbooking is greater than ever. This year I have decided to branch out and look at some of the challenges posted on my favorite scrapbooking  sites and participate..just for fun! My style continues to be clean and simple but I love trying all the new techniques! The tutorials on some of the websites are amazing and make you want to try new things! Here is hoping for a fabulous 2013 with lots of scrapping!
