Special Moments

This layout was for creating using the MOJO Monday sketch from Flying Unicorn at
http://flyingunicornforums.com/forum/topic/2202/page/1.

My layout features pictures from my daughters college graduation. I am so proud of what she has accomplished and look forward to seeing what the future holds for her as she begins the next chapter of her life.

Remember...

This layout was created based on the July sketch featured by My Creative Sketches at http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/

The title of my layout is Remember... This page features a picture of a very special little boy that I met almost 5 years ago on a medical missions trip to Roblesdales, Honduras. Jeffri stole my heart with his beautiful smile and sweet personality. His mom, Rosita, is equally precious and I have enjoyed watching Jeffri grow over the last few years.

Beautiful

This layout was made for the June challenge at My Creative Sketches at http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/.

My summer has been a little busy so I didn't get time to scrap much in June. I titled my layout Beautiful. Each year I travel to a village in Honduras with a medical team to provide basic medical care to the people of Robledales. After going there so many times, it truly is like a family reunion each time I go back. The name of this little girl is Ingrid and she is such an energetic, bright and beautiful little girl! She loves to get her picture taken and really loves seeing pictures of herself! It has been such a blessing to watch her grow! I am a huge fan of Websters Pages and used  some of my stash of Country Estates for this page. Of course, I had to add a little stitching and a few Prima flowers! I put my journaling in the little mini bag.

Adore

This layout was created for the challenge at Flying Unicorn for Scrap Hoarders!

In March, when we were in Arizona for a college golf tournament we had the opportunity to go to some professional baseball spring training camps and on St. Patty's Day we attended the Cincinnati Reds vs the Cleveland Indians game! I had been on the hunt for papers that had some red in it but hadn't had any luck. So when this challenge was posted, I shifted through my stash and lo and behold I found this Basic Grey June Bug collection from 2009!!! The colors were perfect for this picture! I also pulled out the colored brads and bag 'o buttons to complete the layout! The bling I used was a remnant left over from another project as were the phases used. This was such a fun challenge and I plan to dig deeper to use up a little bit of my stash. I love all the new papers and products but need to purge to have room for the new stuff!

Spring Fever

This layout was made for the May challenge sponsored by www.flyingunicornforums.com and http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/forum/topics/case-file-no-70-case-closes-on-may-12-2013. Spring is my favorite time of the year as it is a time of new beginnings! I have a large flower garden and love watching the daily transition a flower goes through from the time it begins to pop through the dirt until it is in full bloom!
This is the criteria listed for this layout. My secret journaling is in the little envelope! As I was completing this layout, I thought about all the roles I play, wife, mom, nurse, daughter, friend, gardener, scrapbooker, etc., but what I really am is a caregiver! I love caring for others!

I used the Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee collection for this layout!

Spring Break 2013

This layout was created based on the May challenge from Once Upon a...Sketch.

In March, I had the opportunity to travel to warm and sunny Phoenix, Arizona, to watch my daughter play in a women's college golf tournament. It was a wonderful week of sightseeing, going to the spring training camp and game of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians, eating at 2 restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and of course I happened to 'google' scrapbook stores and found two fabulous stores! I had brought an over-sized suitcase just in case I found a few things!!! But the best part of the week truly was watching my daughter play golf!
I used the Serenade line from Basic Grey for this layout. Love...love...love this collection! Don't be surprised if you see me use this line in future layouts!
Here is a look at a bit of the detail! I love punches and stitching!

Golf Girls

This layout was made using the design from My Creative Sketches April Challenge at  http://mycreativesketches.blogspot.com/. I used the Serenade line from Basic Grey because I love the colors and thought it worked well with this picture that was taken at a golf course in Arizona in March. I scrap a lot of golf themed pages but very rarely use golf themed paper!

Have a great week scrapping! I am planning my own crop this week to celebrate National Scrapbook Day!
